coats & stuff

Oh dear it’s really felt like summer is officially over this week. Perhaps it’s the abundance of coats, boots and hats in shop windows, or maybe it’s the fact that the days seem shorter no matter how well planned you are (how does that always happen!?), but I’m slowly accepting the fact that it might be time to focus less on bikinis and more on things that actually serve two purposes : to keep you snug and at least remotely stylish at the same time.

As I’m a bit of a shoe person (still in denial), I worked myself from the bottom up. These babies tick every perfect boot criteria. They’re comfortable, fun and practical (though some may disagree on that last point) and they’re black, which means I’ve instantly eliminated all mis-matching dilemma in the early mornings. Winning.

And for goodness sake, make sure you get yourself a good coat. Long is the way to go this Winter, and if you dare – a dusty pink would totally work. I’ve always been a little shy so I tend to play it safe, but what I wouldn’t do to have the guts to prance around in something like thisOne day.

  1. No, this can not be true that summer is over! Your look is perfect, but back to the summer styling to disenchant weather;)

  2. Funny how you say summer is almost over, I am from the USA and February is prime time winter. It is important when we read fashion blogs to take into account that fashion is international. It is so nice to get your perspective from Australia. It was a pleasure reading your blog.
