technical beauty
What does a girl do when the every day is just a little bit much, the to-do list makes you want to curl up in a ball and sway back and forth, and the desire to get away is inevitably strong –ย even though you just returned from a week in Fiji.
Get your hair done.
Is the answer, right?
I wouldn’t be one to call myself vain, but getting pampered once in a while sure as hell doesn’t hurt, especially if you’re well over due for a little bit of TLC (you may not think so, but those hints you’re getting from your friends are starting to pop up a little too often). So I bit the bullet and headed in for a chop, a few subtle highlights and a L’Oreal treatment (which I have an entire own post lined up for you – stay tuned), and can I just say that though this might not be a drastic hair transformation – I feel all the bit refreshed.
As I am a techaholic, and spend 98% of my life in front of a computer or a smart phone (I have nightmares about running out of battery), naturally I took to the power of my iPhone to find the best available salon.
Say hello to Vaniday.
Vaniday is a little (and cute) app that will help you book, manage and review your favorite beauty spots – around your location. You can (conveniently) find salons near you or search for a favorite (my go-to is Sloans in Lane Cove), and even book appointments up until two hours out.
Hello Friday afternoon!
Use the code VANILOVESTEPH when you make your next booking to grab a cheeky $30 off (!) your next appointment. This is valid for one month – so be quick. You can download the app by searching your app store, or clicking this link
