our wedding

We got engaged on North Stradbroke island in December 2015. Josh proposed after putting us on a helicopter which put us in a completely secluded spot on an island, where the pilot left us, to just be — together. It was the most perfect moment — just the two of us, and I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. I still do, every single day.

When we walked into Jonah’s at Whale Beach, something about it just felt like us. With the ocean cast as far as the eye can see, and located just a stones throw from our home, this felt like the perfect spot. And what a day it was. No rain or grey clouds could dampen my mood that day, and as I’ve heard people say before, a wet knot is tighter than a dry one.

“I didn’t fall in love with you.
I walked into love with you, with my eyes
wide open, choosing to take every step along
the way. I do believe in fate and destiny,
but I also believe we are only fated to do
the things that we’d choose anyway.

And I’d choose you;
in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds,
in any version of reality,
I’d find you and I’d choose you”
